Value Implications and Realisation Paths of Transdisciplinary Practical Activities

Abstract:

The new curriculum standards for compulsory education and general high school have set guidelines for strengthening the connection between various disciplines and organising transdisciplinary learning. Transdisciplinary practical activities are a series of learning activities that integrate concepts, principles and laws of different disciplines, and use tools, data, and technologies from multiple fields to solve real-life problems, which are characterised by practicability, coherence, embodiment, inferiority, generativity and self-reflection, etc. They are able to eliminate disciplinary boundaries, reconfigure the field of knowledge, and cultivate transdisciplinary thinking, which is of great importance to meet students' developmental needs and to cope with the challenges of global sustainability. It is important to meet the development needs of students and address the challenges of global sustainability. Based on the characteristics and value of transdisciplinary practical activities, the realisation path of transdisciplinary practical activities is explored.
