A Study on Attitudes towards Learner Autonomy and Out-of-Class Autonomous Learning Practices of Chinese University Language Students

摘要(Abstract):

This paper reports on a study of learner autonomy conducted with a group of Chinese university language learners. The study investigates their motivational level, attitudes towards learner autonomy and out-of-class autonomous learning practices, with a view to assess their readiness for autonomy. The paper presents the research findings and concludes with the pedagogical implications for the promotion of learner autonomy among Chinese university language learners.
